Livestock raising

The production of pork is a priority for the “Niva Pereyaslavshchyny” Group of Companies.
The continuous demand as well as the increasing prices for meat make animal breeding, in particular pig breeding, a very promising area for investment, offering a long-term opportunity for the growth and expansion of an effective business.

The construction of the first pig farm designed for closed-loop fattening, with a capacity of 30 thousand commercial pigs per year, began during the summer of 2005, the first gilts arrived from Denmark in December, 2005. Farrowing began in May, 2006. From the year 2008 onwards the company has built 1 pig farm a year. To this day, NP has built a total of 12 fully operational pig farms and is collecting permitting documentation for the construction of a 13th, 14th pig farms. The sows are comprised of Danish genetics such as the Landrace sow, the Yorkshire sow and the Duroc sow, from the companies “Danbred A/S” and “Breeders of Denmark A/S”. The pig farms are outfitted with equipment from leading European manufacturers.

The pig farms are safe for the environment, modern, fully mechanized and automated: All sections of the pig farms are equipped with automated systems for feed supply from “Skiold Transpork”; Aqua Level water supply systems; heating, ventilation and cooling, all controlled via a Skov computer; as well as a sprinkling and wetting system, also fully automated. Industrial effluents are drained through a technological pipeline of manure removal (a gravity drainage system) which then goes into monolithic perennial repositories. In the sections where young animals are kept, namely, in the farrowing section, the section where gilts are kept and in the growing section, a floor heating system is used. Only the most up-to-date technology is used in pig farm projects. A deep scientific approach as well as modernization of the production process allows us to ensure high performance, which is why our pig farms have some of the highest performance indicators, not only in terms of Ukrainian, but also in terms of European standards.
